Kindness is something that is free to give when you do not have anything to give. I believe what you give the world will be returned to you. So, a favor for a favor. Karma someone would call it. Karma is defined by the sum of a person's actions in this and previous states of existence, viewed as deciding their fate in future existences.
According to Wikipedia Karma means action, work or deed; it also refers to the spiritual principle of cause and effect where intent and actions of an individual (cause) influence the future of that individual (effect). Good intent and good deed contribute to good karma and future happiness, while bad intent and bad deed contribute to bad karma and future suffering. So, what goes around comes back around basically.
I recently discuss the importance of being kind with a friend of mine. They told me that you need to be nice because you never know what someone is going through. Yes, that is true. You should always be kind and treat everyone as if they are going through a difficult time in life. But I also do not agree that someone who is going through a difficult time should act rude to others due to their situation.
We all go through things. What we go through may be small to others but to us it seems big. But our circumstances should not give us a pass to being rude to others. Why? Because they did not cause us pain so don’t treat them as if they were the causer of our problems. They are just innocent bystanders caught in the line of fire. If you are going through something, then just kindly let them know that hey today is not a good day for me so I rather be alone until I am in a better mood.
To be honest I do not like being around people when I am sad, upset, or angry. Any negative emotional I rather deal with it alone until I can talk about it without getting upset. Sometimes I just need a breather and being alone is so helpful. Plus, I don’t like to reflect bad energy on no one. I remember when I was younger, and my mom would say that someone could pass on their attitude to you. So, for example if they are upset that energy can be transferred to you.
So, if I had a ruff day at work, I like to take my shower and relax then I talk to my husband and children, but it is after I do this. While I am in the shower I breathe and relax and releases all the stress from a tough day, then I can be around my family with a good attitude. IF I don’t do this, I often am short and irritated easily because I did not allow myself time to release that bad energy. I try to spread good vibes and kindness but so many people are offended by it but then they complain that people are angry and negative. I just don’t know what people what sometimes in life, but I don’t change my attitude because they have a problem with me being happy.
One person told me I smiled too much or that I had too much energy for them because I was happy and moments like this sometimes makes you question why are you being this way but don’t allow their grumpiness to change the person you are. Choose kindness and spread it wherever you go. You never know who life you are impacting just by being kind. This is the only thing you can give to others for free so why not use it.
So, as you go about your day remember that you change lives by how you choose to live your life. Our acts of kindness will inspire others to do the same. As Roy T bennet would say Treat everyone with politeness and kindness, not because they are nice, but because you are.”
