Self-Improvement

What are some habits that you need to break? What is something that you struggle with that you wish you were better at? What choices are you making in life that you are not happy with? These are some of the questions I ask myself when I am working on improving myself. Self-Improvement is a good thing but it is often looked at in a negative way. Self-improvement is important because this is how you determine how your life will go. When you are constantly working on improving you will always be successful. Being successful is a feeling of confidents in yourself, your goals, and where you are in life. When you are

working on improving yourself and removing habits that are getting in the way of you completing your goals you are more likely to be happy with where you are in life. Success is defined differently by all but according to the Webster dictionary it means the accomplishment of an aim or purpose.

So when you are working on yourself you are aiming to accomplish something. You have a reason or a purpose behind why you need to improve and then you set out to achieve it. When you complete your goals or break a bad habit, it makes you feel good. So why do people resist self-improvement. People mainly resist self-improvement because they don't want to change. Some don't want to have to work hard to improve themselves so they become complacent. Then you have people that worry about the outcomes and then convince themselves that the risk outweighs the action. We resist to change ourselves to improve our lives but we tend to encourage others to change. Sometimes It's easier to see where someone else is lacking but it's not always easy to see where we need improvement. Self-Improvement is a continuous thing. Once we complete one task we start another task. Life is a constant self-improvement to do list but if we want to accomplish anything in life we have to be constantly improving ourselves.

I am a good encourager to someone else but I often struggle with encouraging myself so I would talk myself into believing I didn't need to change. I knew that there were somethings I needed to change if I wanted to grow in my career and in any area of my life but I was letting the risks outweigh the rewards. In life you have to work on yourself daily not to be perfect but to be better than your yesterday self. In order for you to see a change in your career, relationships, family, or any area of your life it starts with looking inward at yourself. I was able to see problems in everyone that was involved in my life including my family, teachers, classmates, colleagues, and my spouse but I didn't realized that I needed to make some improvements within myself. So I started working on myself and I evaluate myself daily. Once you start doing this you'll be so busy improving yourself that you won't have time to judge anyone else. So as you go about your day work on improving yourself. Improving yourself doesn't mean that you will be perfect. Improving yourself is what’s going to equip you with the tools you need to be successful in life.

"No matter who you are, no matter what you did, no matter where you’ve come from, you can always change, become a better version of yourself.” ― Madonna
