Be willing to sacrifice

February is here! Last month flew by so fast. I wonder if it flew by for anyone else as fast as it did for me. The hours felt like they got shorter and my weeks felt like days. I have been super busy working on myself. I guess when you’re having fun you don’t realize the time passing. January was the month I focused on what goals I really wanted to achieve. The month to think, get organized, and figure out a plan for my life. Now that February is here, I now have a clear direction on what steps I need to take to get started.

I’m also excited while I’m writing this blog post because I received my degree in the mail and now it finally feels like reality. I know I finished school in December but receiving my degree just made it feel so real. That’s how it feels when you are working on your goals. It doesn’t seem real until you physically see the proof. Therefore, people are more likely to give up. We all like to see results. Knowing you accomplished them is one thing but physically seeing them just puts the icing on the cake.

I know it’s hard sometimes because it’s hard for me. We’re all human and when you work hard and don’t see results it’s easy to just give up. When I was in school it was times when I didn’t want to go. I wanted to sleep in. I didn’t feel like writing papers or studying. I felt like all I did was sleep, eat, work, and do school work.

In life while you are trying to obtain your goals it’s going to take making sacrifices. Deciding not to hang out with friends and family. Giving up certain foods you like to get healthier. Eliminating bad habits so you can focus on improving yourself. Something must be traded in to achieve whatever you want out of life.

I missed out on a lot of time with my family and friends and honestly a lot of them understand. Now that February is here don’t lose the fire that you had for your goals in January. Don’t lose that passion you had when the year begin. Never give up on your goals. It’s going to get tough but the results in the end will be worth it. 2019 will be your year you just have to believe it.

Ask yourself today how bad do you want it?
